Introducing Aim Interrupt, a stand-alone plugin for
Winamp. Aim Interrupt gets information from Winamp about the song or video you are playing and displays it in your
Aim profile and away message. Aim Interrupt even works with other Instant Messenger programs that use the Aim protocol, such as
Trillian,
Gaim, or
Miranda.
Download Aim InterruptAim Interrupt requires the Visual Basic 6.0 Runtime Files. Get them
here.
Below is more information about, and pictures of, Aim Interrupt in action:

This is an example of how Aim Interrupt can display information in your away message and profile. Customization of Aim Interrupt is easy with the built in options, and there are many ways to show off what you are playing. Take your time to play around with the settings, and find a way to communicate your own style.
Aim Interrupt also lets you choose what will be replaced in your away message and profile, and gives you multiple formatting options. This makes it easy to integrate seamlessly in your away message and profile. People don't have to know you are using Aim Interrupt when it is disabled. One variable can be replaced with a whole block of text in which the other variables will work. In the example above, the word "Music" would be replaced with a multi-line piece of text showing the song or video you are playing.

Aim Interrupt's preferences let you customize the program. Choose where to show the information and how often to update it. Minimize the program to the System Tray to get it out of your way. Launching another application when Aim Interrupt loads means all you have to do is open Aim Interrupt and your instant messenger will open as well.
